The Gently Unfurling Sneak is the work of Melbourne artist-designer Anika Cook. Anika likes small touches of absurdity, vintage illustrations, old paper and books, bright colours, and stripes, but even more than that, she like putting all those things into her printed artworks. All products are happily made in Australia using the finest natural fibres, sustainably grown bamboo, and recycled materials.

There's more to paper than just wrapping

I'm trying to be more creative, coming up with ideas on how I can add interesting accessories to our house without spending a lot of money.

I'm obsessed with the Little Branch paper we have on the site. To me it is too beautiful to use just for wrapping a gift (and then throwing away). So, why not frame it? I thought this may be cute for a bedroom, especially in a girl's bed room. Maybe a good "tween" option.

Tangerine Tango - the colour for this year

At the end of last year, Pantone announced their colour for 2012 is 'Tangerine Tango'. Basically, a punchy orange, giving us a blast of colour this year.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have a renovated bathroom with a frameless shower screen. I am one of those people still battling with my 1970s bathroom, dreaming of a renovation. In the mean time, I have added fabulous shower curtain, embracing the retro feel of it all.

A little while ago we introduced three shower curtain styles to Gallop Lifestyle. They have proven popular, so we are delighted to offer five new styles. All are printed with a strong iconic or retro 'statement' image.

These shower curtains are made from PEVA, which is a non-vinyl, chlorine-free, biodegradable material. It is as easy to clean as traditional PVC curtains, but avoids the chemicals associated with PVC. They are priced from $36 each.

Thank you to everyone who supported us this year. Its been an interesting one. We have certainly learnt a lot, most of all how to balance our family life while putting enough effort into the business. It is hard, but very rewarding.
